The Party spokeseperson announced the given resolution may seriously harm the relations between the two countries. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has posted an offensive note against Germany on his Twitter page.
“The way to close the dark pages of their own history, is through blackening the history of other countries by an irresponsible decision made in the Parliament”, Çavuşoğlu writes. It was a wrong decision made by Germany”, reported the Prime Minister. President of Turkey Tayyip Erdoğan who is currently in Kenya, has pointed out the decision made by Bundestag will seriously affect Turkish-German relations. “We will determine our steps, upon returning to Turkey.”
