Artsakh war freedom fighter Haykaz Ananyan was born in 1967, in the village of Lenin, Shamkhor region. At the age of 11 together with his family he moved to Yerevan. After leaving school Haykaz studied at Saratov Higher Military Engineering School of Chemical Defense. Upon graduation he left for Artsakh and became the one of the first young officers.
