While on route from Paris to Cairo on Thursday A320 plane vanished, dropping off radar. The plane had 56 passengers on board, including 3 children and ten crew. EgyptAir said the flight was carrying 30 Egyptian nationals, 15 French, as well as citizens of 11 other countries — including Canada, France, the U.K., Belgium and Iraq.
The plane belonged to Egyptian EgyptAir. A320 left Charles de Gaulle Airport at 23:09 p.m. on May 18. The plane sent a message on malfunction at 2.26 a.m. and later at 2:45 a.m. Cairo time disappeared from radar.
Search operations are underway.
