Artsakh war veteran Valery Chitchyan was born in the village of Getashen, on February 14th, 1956. After graduating from school he entered higher Military Command College, and was later in 1978 sent to work in the faraway city of Usurisk. Valery Chitchyan has served a good example for the soldiers under his leadership, who have now become warrant officers and colonels.
