Sasun Hakobyan was born in 1970, in Martakert. He was fond of sporting evetns, among them chess, volley-ball, football… He went to a polytechnic school. He also studied the Bible, even rose to altar during Divine Liturgy. He left for Artsakh once the war broke out. At the age of 22 he was already appointed a commander.
