Public TV Company has received legislative guests today: NA standing committee on science, education, culture, youth and sports issues held its regular session at Public TV Company. The agenda included the report of activities of Public TV Company for the year 2015.
Chairman of Public TV and Radio Council Ruben Jaghinyan and Executive Director of Public TV Margarita Grigoryan first introduced the list of the programs broadcast in the year of 215, according to program content and genre, as well as TV Company’s technical upgrades, their construction works and projects.
The issue of digitalizing Company archive system is a priority amongst all the solvable issues. Public archive is exclusive for its cultural, historical and documentary video archive. It is of primary importance to maintain those videos. The financial and technical resources needed for digitization of all data starting from Artsakh War annals to the videos about great Armenian Artists has become a priority.
As the member of NA standing committee, head of “Heritage” fraction Ruben Hakobyan says public TV Company cannot be left alone in this respect: the committee will take this issue into consideration.
The legislative body has also noticed the work done by Public TV Company during the days of April war. “Public TV Company bore the responsibility of news coverage, as well as provision of technical support, took the initiative and provided urgent news flow, thus gaining the trust of the viewers, which was , indeed, very important during those days,
NA standing committee members also discussed the report of the National Commission on TV and Radio of Armenia, presented by Chairman Gagik Buniatyan.
