The purpose of PACE co-rapporteurs Alan Meale and Giuseppe Galati visit to Armenia is the monitoring of Armenian commitment as PACE member. The meeting with MPs included electoral amendments in the context of constitutional reforms, as well as issues concerning anticorruption policy. MPs state the closed meeting also focused on the increasing tension on Karabagh-Azerbaijani line of contact, stressing the Assembly should treat the conflict seriously and never consider the conflicting parties to be equal to each other.
