The bill exempting “Hrazdan Cement” company from its tax and mandatory social security payments is again in the agenda for MPs. Government draft to forgive over 510 million penalty out of the 936 million AMD tax obligation of the company failed in the final 4-day meetings. Today the government suggests to discuss it once again.
The Government has made concessions concerning the plant, allowing its only owner “VTB” bank to resume plant operation, by exempting the latter from the penalties, in order not to make the plant go bankrupt and to save the 500 workplaces.
