The liberation of Shushi overthrew Azerbaijan. It was enthusiasm that led Armenian forces further. On the occasion of Shushi Liberation day, Mikayel Andreasyan, who holds 1st degree “Battle Cross” and “For Courage” medal, described the historical significance of Shushi Liberation this way.
As a pilot Mikayel Andreasyan has participated in the liberation of Artsakh: his colleagues remember different episodes about him managing to bring the burning aircraft to the runway and safely land.
