Yerevan state college of Choreography was established by dance instructor, choreographer, USSR People’s Artist Vahram Aristakesyan. In 1925 he formed Armenian folk dance ensemble in the studio. Under his leadership the ensemble has won prizes from All-Union sports and first Transcaucasian Olympiad.
