Prominent Armenian poet Daniel Varuzhan fell victim to the anti-Armenian policy of the Ottoman Empire. Talking about the influence of Italian and Flemish Arts of the Renaissance period Varuzhan noted that he only used the “Armenian cochineal”(Vordan karmir) for his brush.The poet wrote 4 books during 10 years: “The Trembling”, “Pagan Songs ”, “The Songs of Bread” and “The Heart of a Nation”.
