California State Assembly chambers unanimously passed the “AJR 34” recognizing Armenian Genocide. AJR passed unanimously 76-0 on the State Assembly floor. The Resolution passed the California Senate floor with a vote of 37-0. Draft co-authors were member of California House of Representatives Katcho Achadjian and President of California Senate Kevin De León. The resolution not only announced April 24^th as 101 centennial, but also designated 2016 as the Year of Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.
