Ashot Ghulyan – national hero of Armenia and Artsakh, with the nickname - Bekor Ashot. In 1993 Ashot Ghulyan was posthumously awarded with NKR 1^st degree order of “Battle cross”. In Shushi a street was named after him. The first moto-rifle battalion also carries the name of Bekor Ashot.
