On his official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany President Serzh Sargsyan today met with the German Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairperson - in - Office Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The president mentioned that his visit to Germany is taking place in times of a serious challenge from Azerbaijani side against NKR, as well as RA Security. Serzh Sargsyan presented details on the existing tension and latest developments as a result of ceasefire violation and unprecedented aggravation of the situation.
“The fact that I am present here during these hard times, tells about the importance Armenia maintains towards bilateral relations, as well as the role of Germany as OSCE chairing country’, said President Sargsyan, emphasizing, since OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs are trusteed to settle NKR conflict, there are great expectation from them directly. The President mentioned that practical steps towards peace are being anticipated, as well as use of a mechanism to strongly maintain the restoration of ceasefire regime of 1994. Read more
