In 1963 the 314 Highway started operating in Connecticut. Thanks to the efforts of Armenian community part of the highway carried the name Andranik Ozanyan. Later in 2001 the local government confirmed the document 5914, according to which the crossroad was named after Vardan Mamikonyan. The Armenian crossroad of Connecticut is near the Armenian Church. Saint Gevorg Church has been the place for community gathering, and starting from the 90’s of the last century, lots of Armenian refugees from Baku have moved here as well.
