With support of Ernest Ghahramanyan’s organization called “Diakonia”, Mets Aryum orchards and plantations are expanding despite the heavy hails last year. Years ago a pineapple orchard was founded here, which have given rich harvest for the past 5 years. Climate changes do not affect the harvest, says the farmer. The only problem Ernest faces is the wind, so he is now planting peach trees in the nearby, to defend “sensitive” pineapple plants from the wind.
