For the first time, the European Championship will be contested by 24 teams, having expanded from the previous 16-team format.
As a result of the qualification stage, 19 teams have joined France, and will participate in the Championship finals. As a result of play-off ties between the remaining teams in November 2015, 4 more teams will participate in the final tournament.
On May 28th, 2010, France was chosen to be host nation, after beating Italy and Turkey for the right to host.
The matches will be played in ten stadia in ten cities: Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris,Saint-Denis, Saint-Étienne, and Toulouse.
Armenian Public Television Company will broadcast the matches live.
