"The Tin Drum" has won an Oscar for the best foreign-language film. Charles Aznavour played one of the key roles in German filmmaker Volker Schlöndorff’s movie of the same name. The renowned singer could not possibly refuse to embody the hero, who was a Jewish Holocaust survivor.
