Heroin women compete with each other of the agricultural products they have: some of them are proud for their fruit vodka, others with their greenhouse goods, while some have dried fruits and jams. All these agricultural products with exceptional taste compete with each other. It has already become a tradition that the Minister of Agriculture and “Oxfam” Armenian office do congratulate Armenian women on the Women’s Day. During the past 5 years with the assistance of “Oxfam”, 22 agricultural cooperatives have been established.
A similar cooperative has been established in Oshakan with the trademark “Gyughi Tatik” (Village grandma). The idea belonged to Grandma Vera, whose mother’s traditional tasty dried fruits were famous not only in Oshakan, but also to the village guests. She is now thinking about developing dried fruits’ production.
