The Council of the European Union adopted a resolution to prolong the sanctions against the self-proclaimed Republics of Donbas and Russiafor another half year. The sanctions that were supposed to end on September 15 will be active at least till March 15, 2016.
The resolution will come to power either on September 15 or 16. The sanctions will be related to 149 physical and 37 legal persons.
Russianofficials, politicians, businessmen and representatives of self-proclaimed republics are included in the list. Their entrance to EU is forbidden, and the accounts in European banks frozen.
