Bringing together the US Christian communities, including the Armenian Apostolic Church, the body tries to draw the attention of the American public and the managers of Christians in the Middle East and the destruction of their cultural heritage.
The previous day one of the leaders of the Armenian lobby in Washington, the director of the Armenian Cause office Aram Hambaryan was invited to the conference on the subject, and in the evening Archbishop Oshakan Choloyan was co-leader of the ecumenical ceremony.
