There are still many people enjoying the sun at Sevan Lake. Though the summer heat is in the past, the holiday season continues to be tense for the lifeguard service employees. This year one man was drowned and 18 were saved in the Sevan Lake.
The main reason for drowning is violation of safety rules. The service is also done from high towers using binoculars. Besides the public beaches, all the private beaches nearby are also watched. Since the launch of the beach season the 911 service received more than 40 calls.
