The amount of tomato harvest is less compared to the previous year. The reason is not only the bad weather, extreme heat and continuous high temperature but also the tomato moth.
Thus if previous year the tomato producer sold a kilogram of tomato with 60-65 drams price, then this year the price was raised by 20 drams. And by passing from hand to hand it reaches the consumer with 180-200 drams price.
Despite the lack of harvest, according to Armavir regional government, 80-90 thousand tons of tomato will be stored in the regions this year.
