The Vicar of Patriarch of Constantinople Aram Ateshyan, the representatives of Ministry of Diaspora, "Aleppo" union, "Mission Armenia"organization welcomed the Tovmasyan family which was saved from bombardment in Kobani.
In the Kurdish inhabited city Kobani, Syria, only a few Armenian families live. A year ago the city was taken by the Islamists. The family spent 10 months in tents in the refugee camp of the Turkish city Suruj and with the support of the Vicar of Patriarch of Constantinople reached Yerevan.
The bus transported all of them to the shelter prepared by the "Mission Armenia" organization.
One more Armenian family of Kobani is still in Turkey, in the tent camp. If everything goes well they will also be in Armenia in a month.
