This much about the things to do; in the future new programs and projects are expected on the First Channel.
The new television season of the First Public TV Company of Armenia will be launched on September 7. It will also be the beginning of a number of new programs and interesting projects. Keeping true to its traditions, the First Public TV Company will continue presenting educational, cultural, entertaining, public, cognitive, social, patriotic programs, new feature films and interesting documentaries for its viewers.
For Music Lovers
During the new television season the First Public Television of Armenia is going to present to viewers one of the most popular international entertainment music projects “Name the Tune”, which will be hosted by Avet Barseghyan. The guests of the program will be public, political, cultural figures or the representatives of show business, who are music lovers and like music of different genres. They will be the ones to compete with each other and share their musical knowledge with the viewers of the First Channel. The project will be broadcasted from Monday to Friday at 20:25.
The viewers fond of music will also be able to watch the most popular and durable Armenian programs “Canticle of Canticles” and “Musical Post”.
For Children
While arranging the list of the new programs of the First Channel particular attention was paid to the ones designed for children and pupils. First and foremost they will have educational and cognitive significance. They will also contribute to expanding children’s curiosity and horizons, the wish to make something with their own hands.
“We are Armenia” children program will be hosted by Lilit Tokhatyan and Areg Galoyan, who will introduce Armenia, its sights and their peers who live in regions to children viewers. Every week the hosts will visit one of the regions or villages of Armenia, present the beautiful, wild nature, interesting historical-architectural monuments and the different colors of that place, as well as their peers. The program will be broadcasted every Sunday at 15:00.
The next children program – “The Planet of Whys” – will help all children to find answers to their whys and even those questions they have never thought about. On this colorful, kind, joyful and creative planet, crafty hosts of the program, the Armenian participant of “Junior Eurovision 2014” Betty and Aghasi, will make wonderful things, toys, which are easy to make at home. “The Fixies” interesting and entertaining cartoon, which will help the children to become more knowledgeable, will also be shown in the scope of the program. It will be broadcasted from Monday to Friday at 15:00.
For children the First Channel will also present in Armenian voiceover the cartoon series by Walt Disney “Jake and The Never Land Pirates”, as well as beloved and well-known cartoons “How to Train Your Dragon”, “Kung Fu Panda”, “Madagascar”, “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa”, “Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted”, “Shrek”, “Joseph: King of Dreams”, etc.
For Interesting Pastime and Film Lovers
The First Channel will present a number of projects for film lovers. The events of the new sitcom “With the Whole Family” will develop around the Yerevan family of Sanayans. The only man of the family David is still unmarried and that fact gives no rest to his mother and aunt. The events will develop around this main ground plot simultaneously discovering and presenting different interpersonal relationships. All this will be filled with mild humor and positive mood. Loved actors Levon Harutyunyan, Lala Mnatsakanyan, Julieta Stepanyan, Luisa Nersisyan, Samvel Topalyan, Tamara Gevorgyan and others will star in the sitcom. The director of the sitcom is Hrachya Zakaryan.
And the other film series “Special Department” is for those who are fond of detective stories. The heroes of the film series are officers of the Special Operative-Forensic Department created inside the police, and the ground plot are the most complex, difficult and public crimes. The film series is developed with cooperation of RA police, director Edgar Baghdasaryan.
During the new season the audience will be able to watch on the First Channel the newest and best films of World film production companies such as “Universal studios”, “Paramount Pictures”, “Walt Disney”, “Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer”, “Miramax”. Films like “Breakfast at Tiffany's”, “Forrest Gump”, “Lara Croft. Tomb Raider”, “Saving Private Ryan”, “Vanilla Sky”, “The Passion of the Christ” and others. The First Channel will also broadcast educational and documentary films and film series such as “Claude Monet”, “Caesar”, “Mozart”, “Gatsby”, “Picasso”, “Victor Hugo”, “Maria Callas” etc.
Cultural, Public, Cognitive, Educational
This new season again the Public TV will focus on the cultural, educational and public programs. Stepan Zakaryan during the 3rd season of “Mysteries of Armenia” will continue discovering and referring to new and interesting stories and places.
During the new season the hosts of the First Channel Gohar Gasparyan will help to recognize the “Taste of Armenia”, and Anna Avanesyan will help to discover the fates and feelings of our compatriots living over the ocean.
Arevik Udumyan and Karine Khodikyan in the scope of “Between you and me” program will continue to find answer for the questions that interest them and will present the most interesting stories to the world.
Arthur Bakhtamyan will continue to refer to those “Quotation Marks” which haven’t been opened yet, questions which haven’t received answers yet.
And the most knowledgeable mother of the Public TV Mary Nersisyan will continue to refer the kindest news and give the most useful advice to the women and future mothers in the “Mothers’ Club” program.
Following Social Issues
Again in the new season various social issues will be discussed in the “First Pavilion”. Tigran Danielyan in “Hard Monday”, Aelita Chilingaryan and Sona Abrahamyan in “The Profession of a Journalist”, Karen Giloyan in “Offside” and Erik Antaranyan in “Free Zone” will discuss the problems in every possible field doing their best to suggest solutions.
