The police, Ministry of Emergency Situations and the employees of Central administrative district administration participated in the evacuation.
In the scope of the “Shant-2015” military exercises in the morning on September 4 the exemplars of Matenadaran the storage of ancient Armenian manuscripts and National Gallery of Armenia were evacuated.
According to the list made by the Minister of Culture the most important cultural values were evacuated firsthand and transported to the shelters. The police, Ministry of Emergency Situations and the employees of Central administrative district administration participated in the evacuation.
Due to the secrecy of national values the places of shelters and the evacuation plan were not published. The groups consisting of the employees of Matenadaran and National Gallery carefully wrapped the ancient manuscripts and valuable pictures. They were stored into special lead sealed boxes and transported to concealment places.
