The “Shant-2015” military exercises in Armenia have no connection with the tension on the border.
It was informed by the Armed Forces deputy Chief of Staff Movses Hakobyan. According to him it is just a coincidence and the exercises were being developed since November 2014.
Movses Hakobyan mentioned that during the Security Council session it was decided to create a high state of combat readiness in the republic.
The aim of the exercises is to check the cooperation level of the institutions and the economic options. Such military exercises take place in Armenia for the first time.
