President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulation message on the occasion of the anniversary of Artsakh Independence. In the message it is mainly said “On this symbolic day in 1991 by the declaration of independence a wearied but also heroic part of Armenia was torn out of the clutch of tyranny, national and religious discrimination, persecution and massacres, lies, falsifications and anti-Armenian racist propaganda.
With that historic step our fight didn’t stop, but moved to a new stage for the right to honorably live in our own houses, for human and national rights. An Artsakh man defended on the battlefield his life and the lives of his children, and saved their and his future.”
