There is a great musical event on September 3 on the stage of Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and their famous Musical Director Zubin Mehta are in Armenia on the invitation of the "Yerevan Perspectives" festival.
Since 1969 Mehta's name and career was connected with Israel. In 1969 he was the advisor of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, in 1977 he was appointed as their Musical Director, and in 1981 Zubin Mehta was appointed as the Musical Director for Life of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
With this orchestra he accepted the Yerevan festival invitation and the is in Armenia with the long awaited concert.
