The Echmiadzin vocational college which has a 40 years history, this year raised the number of professions. Besides the specialists in sales field, wide profile tractor-drivers and welders the college will also educate auto locksmiths during the 2015-2016 academic year.
It is the only vocational educational institution in the region where people from almost every village of the region come to learn. If during theSoviet Years the college prepared specialists in more than a dozen fields, now the professions are chosen according to the need of labor market.
The greatest problem of the college is the worn out technical complex. Tractors and agricultural devices exploited for decades can break every second.
