The problem of illegal immigration into Europe still remains on the agenda. The European Union has convened an extraordinary forum to discuss the issue of continually growing number of immigrants. Interior Ministers and Ministers of Justice of 28 member countries are going to meet in Brussels on September 14. The extraordinary forum was convened by the EU presiding country – Luxemburg.
Previously, the Interior Ministers of Germany, France and Great Britain had urged to organize such a forum. The topic of immigrants has become particularly problematic in recent weeks.
The reason for this situation are the frequent cases of shipwreck in the Mediterranean Sea and the 71 dead Syrians found in the truck in Austria.The European Commission has already announced that the flow of immigrants is the largest since the end of World War II.
