The Head of Department of General Education of Yerevan Municipality Gayane Soghomonyan met with the journalists on the threshold of September 1. She mentioned that the Yerevan schools are already ready to welcome the new academic year and the distribution of the text books is in process.
Syrian-Armenian children are accepted in Yerevan schools early, and chess schools are active in 9 out of 12 administrative regions. In future more chess schools will be opened in the other 3 regions.
Gayane Soghomonyan registered another fact, no case of intoxication was registered in the kindergartens of the city, despite the massive intoxication cases.
