The Sanahin Monastery Complex is under stage repair. The complex with two churches, a chapel, 3 courtyards, a library and a Belfry is being repaired with the help of cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and the Holy See.
The former scientific-cultural center in medieval ages was the seat of Kyurikyans and Zakaryans. The number of tourists visiting Sanahin grows each year, despite that the services and accommodations for tourists do not change.
Besides that the funerals near the church territory continue, disrupting the unity of all the buildings of the church complex. After the repair the representatives of culture and tourism fields intend to also develop the infrastructures.
