The Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan was on a working visit in Kotayk region. He watched the work of greenhouses. In Alapars the Minister visited the raspberry arable lands of farmer Sergey Grigoryan.
Considering the pre-mountainous location of the lands Sergo Karapetyan urged to protect the harvest from wind and hail by planting wind defence trees or building anti-hail net around the garden.
One of the stops of the Minister was the mushroom industry of Abovyan. The whole cycle from growing to storage and production is done in place. The industry which has 200 employees with average of 125 000 drams salary aims to increase the amount of mushroom production.
