According to the president of the club, their aim is to develop extreme sports.
The opening ceremony of the Extreme sports club took place on the shore of Sevan Lake. On that occasion the "Aikido Aikikai" Federation of Armenia organized a unique event, during which 8 swimmers ought to swim 10km distance.
The most experienced of them was the president of the newly opened club, an Aikido and MMA sportsman Ashot Petrosyan. Before this he broke various world records by swimming 18, 25, 33 and 40km.
According to the president of the club, their aim is to develop extreme sports and by that draw the attention of foreign sportsmen on Armenian nature and especially Sevan Lake.
