Despite the fact that the international minerals market was collapsing last year, the Armenian economy driving force doesn't give in its positions in the GDP. The mining industry produced 15 million tons of minerals this year.
Because of that about 10 companies added the amount of production of copper, molybdenum and gold by one third, and doubled the tax entrance in budget. Twenty percent growth of mining industry is ensured especially by copper, molybdenum, gold and other metals.
To organize the powerful branch of economy the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources developed a new bill. The ecology demands will be stricter. The industrial waste accumulated in tailings for years will be redeveloped.
