The President of North Korea Kim Jong-un decided to move to new "Pyongyang" time. From august 15 this year the clocks will be wound back for 30 minutes compared to current time.
Pyongyang considers this step as a "break from the Japanese evil imperialism". Presently North Korea, South Korea and Japan are in the same time zone.
Whilst before 1910, the conquest of Korean peninsula by Japan, there was 30 minutes difference between two countries. The decision was made on the event of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the country from Japanese rule.
