The subsidizing of the electricity price which was roused on August 1 will be initiated with the money received from the "Vorotan" Hydropower plant sale. The Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan told us during a briefing with journalists in Gyumri. The Prime Minister had a full schedule in Gyumri, he visited the geophysics and seismology institute, knitwear factory, Gyumri-2 substation and the Hayordats house.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Swiss-Armenian businessman, philanthropist Vartan Sirmakes who intends to invest 10 million dollars in Gyumri. The economic projects of small and medium sized businessmen of Shirak will receive the financing. The government will also provide its support.
