Director Artavazd Peleshyan is in Armenia. Peleshyan’s films influence different people differently. The retrospective showing of the director’s films was held at Moscow Cinema. After the showing of the film “Years of the Season” the director recalled a story concerning the preparatory period of the film shooting. He told it with a humor typical of him and with elements of distant editing. “We had to find a village, where old traditions would have been maintained, so we applied to the Ministry of Agriculture of Soviet Armenia. In 2 days the Ministry found out that there is a remote village in Armenia, and in the village they discovered that there is a soviet regime in Armenia.”
