Avet Terteryan is described as a composer possessing the color and flavor of Armenian music of 20th century. His old wish became a reality on his 86th anniversary. Hundreds of people were united in his home village Hayravank on the shore of Sevan Lake with Terteryan's stormy music and the first "Terteryan Time" festival organized by Armenian-Russian joint efforts.
It was launched with a liturgy early in the morning, which was followed by performances of national and ethnographic groups, exhibition-sale of national art, visit-excursion to Avet Terteryan's houseand then a luxurious concert on the shore of Gegham beauty.
The organizers of the festival promised that they will do everything that is possible for the festival to have its continuation in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, various Western European countries, and they will do everything to turn Terteryan's house into Terteryan's house-museum.
