The Artsakh War had a big significance for formation of the Armenian Aviation. During the hot days of the war Armenian pilots endangered their life every day providing food to the Artsakh population and arms and weapons to the soldiers. After the ceasefire regime hundreds of skillful officers became the pride of the Armenian Aviation after graduating from Military Aviation Institute named after A. Khanperyants.
Members of the Armenian helicopter downed by the rival on November 12 Sergey Sahakyan, Azat Sahakyan and Sargis Nazaryan had been the graduates of that establishment, too.
