After the collapse of the USSR many former soviet countries started to develop their own constitution. The system, principles, development models changed. There is not only the anniversary of the constitution of Armenia, but also the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's constitution. During those 20 years three times changes and additions were made in the constitution of Kazakhstan.
The changes were mainly about parliamentarism, election code, passing part of the powers of the ruler of the country to the parliament. The time limit of powers of the ruler of the republic were changed in 2007, it was prolonged till 7 seven. The time limit for now is 5 years, but it does not affect the first president.
