The writer became an orphan at the age of 4; he spent his childhood in poverty and need. Dumas received a short education, but instead he liked reading books, which helped him to recognize people, their psychology, thoughts and nature, as well as to write his most famous adventure works. He worked as a notary clerk. After moving to Paris he worked as a clerk for the Duke of Orléans.
His most famous novels are “The Three Musketeers”, “20 Years After” and “The Vicomte de Bragelonne”. He took one of the wandering themes, wrote the story of 4 courageous friends and made it wander all over the world.
