In the summer heat, during the hottest months of the year, the major period of weddings begins. The traditional Armenian wedding has changed a lot recently. Banquets have come to replace the honey and lavash (Armenian national bread), DJs replace tamadas (toast masters), and an entire “love story” is preferred instead of the traditional photo. Wedding events promise a credit story to the new married instead of the new life.
Hairdressing, makeup, a wedding dress, shows and baskets: these are already enough for emptying one’s purse. And if you have prepared yourself much, you will probably not refuse a firework of butterflies, an exotic dress and a show with lights.
