Yerevan evening with the Lord’s Prayer and rose-water basins gathered passers-by and tourist guests in the courtyard of Katoghike Church. Vardavar holiday preparations started with the dance of going to the covenant to mountains. Girls started to knit wreaths and young men to make fire.
The religious holiday with ritual songs and dances was organized by the young people of Ararat Diocese. It was found out in advance that in ancient times there used to be a tradition of roasting apples on Vardavar and treating each other.
