Vice-President of Wuppertal International Association of Guitarists Zhora Sargsyan decided to apply the practice gained abroad in Armenia. He founded the Guitarists’ Association, the festival and invited guitar virtuosos.
Besides the concerts of works written for the classical guitar, the musicians also give maser classes. Before undertaking the festival, there was a concern that the guitar is not widespread in Armenia, but it turned out that the guitar classes of Yerevan music schools have 1 300 pupils.
