Lately 110 paragliding athletes have assessed the blue of the Armenian sky and the warm winds of mountains. The first international paragliding competition for the Russian Cup is conducted on July 4-11.
From the neighboring countries Turkish and Iranian athletes had submitted participation applications. Armenia has been the first country in South Caucasus to master this sport and even to organize an international competition.
The athletes with international qualification are eligible for the competition. For coming up on behalf of its federation, Armenia must hold at least one competition here. This will enable Armenia to conduct competitions in future. Every day with new sport issues, every day in new sites, the paragliding athletes will still color the sky.
