The architects hold to their opinion that the old building of "Zvartnots" must be preserved.
In April 2013, the concessionaire of "Zvartnots" airport, "Armenia International Airports" company addressed the Yerevan municipality to lend the authorization to destroy the old building of the airport.
The application received a public response and became a subject of discussion in not only the professional area but also in different sub-commissions of the public council. The architect Sashor Kalashyan said that they had a few meeting with the representatives of concessionaire.
It turns out that the old building is not fit for exploitation, therefore it must be pulled down and the concessionaire promises to preserve only the tower. But the architects hold to their opinion that the old building of "Zvartnots" must be preserved.
