The 12th Meeting of the International Association of Genocide Scholars has started its work in Yerevan. The event is called "Comparative Analysis of 20th Century Genocides".
It is unprecedented by the number of participants and the high rating of the a Academy. The president of the International Association of Genocide Scholars Daniel Feierstein and more than a hundred experts in Genocide and neighboring areas participated in the conference in the American University of Armenia. Famous scientists for different countries of the world arrived in Yerevan. President Serzh Sargsyan had a speech during the opening ceremony of the conference.
According to the director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan, during the conference the Genocides will be viewed in the plane of the comparative. As a result scientists will present suggestions and mechanisms to prevent Genocides.
