Italian singer Toto Cutugno was born in Fosdinovo. His father was a military sailor. Already during the childhood years of the boy everyone was convinced he would become a musician. He mastered wind instruments and came up in different bands.
At the age of 13 Toto occupied the 2nd place in a music contest. After coming up with G-UNIT band Cutugno founded TOTO E TATI band, and started composing music himself.
In 1975 the young musician gave concerts in “Albatros” band and wrote the songs “Oasis” and “Africa” with Vito Pallavicini.
